Implant Information
Implants are a great option to replace missing teeth for patients desiring a solution that resembles their own teeth, however, they may not be the best option for everyone. Just like natural teeth, implants can develop gum disease, fracture or be lost due to infection. Find out more about your personal risk at http://www.mydentalrisk.com
All-On-4 and Teeth-in-a-day
Patients are often told they cannot have teeth removed and replaced in the same day or that due to severe gum disease they have lost too much bone to have implants placed. With All-On-4 treatment these limitations can be removed. For patients wanting to reconstruct their entire smile, this treatment can be life changing. Working alongside your general dentist, this transformative treatment option allows patients to have their teeth replaced with just 4 implants and leave with a fixed, implant retained smile the same day.
Gum Disease Information
Gum disease is one of the most common chronic conditions worldwide and is linked to many systemic illnesses including diabetes, Alzheimer's and cardiovascular disease. It is often silent, meaning symptoms may not appear until the disease is very advanced leading to permanent loss of teeth. Here are some warning signs of gum disease:
Red, swollen, painful or tender gums
Bleeding while brushing or flossing
Loose or separating teeth
Pus between your gums and teeth
Sores in your mouth
Persistent bad breath
A change in your bite
A change in the fit of partial dentures
Gums that are receding or pulling away from the teeth, causing the teeth to look longer than before
